When my father’s den­tal prac­tice moved to a new build­ing, they decided to take the oppor­tu­nity to rebrand. I was entrusted with the task of cre­at­ing a new cor­po­rate ID for the prac­tice, which included design­ing a new logo, busi­ness sta­tionery, and signage.

Bamford Dental Pratice — Ongoing project

I under­took a brief with Bamford Dental Practice to cre­ate a full cor­po­rate iden­tity includ­ing a logo, colour scheme, busi­ness sta­tionery, inte­rior and exte­rior sig­nage, and infor­ma­tional leaflets.

I grad­u­ated from De Montfort University, Leicester in 2009 with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. I com­pleted briefs at uni­ver­sity in edi­to­r­ial design, chil­drens illus­tra­tion, pack­ag­ing design, typog­ra­phy and cor­po­rate ID to name a few. My major projects in my final year though mainly focused on chil­drens illustration.

For my final nego­ti­ated project at uni­ver­sity, I chose to illus­trate the mono­logue “Albert and the Lion” by Marriott Edgar and famously per­formed by Stanley Holloway. This project proved piv­otal in devel­op­ing my unique illus­tra­tive style.

Photography is mainly a hobby of mine, but my love for it has proved use­ful in my work within the graphic design spec­trum. I love cap­tur­ing vibrant colours, move­ment, dynamism, and exper­i­ment­ing with tech­nique. I often update my blog with my own pho­tog­ra­phy projects.

I’m expe­ri­enced in using most soft­ware included in the Adobe Creative Suite Package, namely Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash. If appro­pri­ate, or where requested I can also use open source alter­na­tives to these, such as the GIMP, Inkscape and Scribus. I also use Google Sketchup, which proves invalu­able for visu­al­is­ing graph­ics in a 3D space for my clients.
